Transfer to the Aberdeen - home to hundreds of people living on fishing junks, where we take a 20 minute ferry ride to Sok Kwu Wan on Lamma Island. - a Y-shaped island bearing south of Hong Kong comprising 13.7 square kilometers, and is the third largest island in Hong Kong after Lantau and Hong Kong Island. Today the island still preserves the local fisher folk culture and history of the fishery industry.

On arrival at Sok Kwu Wan, walk to the celebrated 150 year old Tin Hau Temple nearby. The temple is typical of Hong Kong's coastal communities, because Tin Hau, Goddess of the Sea, is said to protect the fishing community. Although the temple has been renovated many times, its original layout has been maintained. After visiting the temple, you are free to explore around the waterfront.

A seafood lunch will be served at the well-known Rainbow Seafood Restaurant

After lunch, we proceed to the Fisher Folk's Village by a short boat ride. The village is a showcase of the local fisher folk culture and display the history of the fishery industry in Hong Kong. Occupying an area of over 20,000 square feet, the village comprises authentic fishing junks, traditional dragon boats, an exhibition hall, themed folkloric displays, fishing rafts and dwellings. You will learn and appreciate the heritage and lifestyle of the fishing community in Hong Kong. Afterwards, transfer by ferry to Aberdeen for our return trip.
